Extended Life Microtooling by Advanced Coating Technology (ELMACT)

This is a UK project funded by the Technology Strategy Board and the EPSRC.

Aim: Extending the life and enabling the re-use of microtooling through the use of advanced surface treatments and coatings.

Cotech

Converging Technologies for Micro Systems Manufacturing (COTECH)

This is a European Framework 7 (FP7) project funded by the European Commission, and comprising of 25 European Organisations including SME's, industrial leaders, research centres, universities, and service organisations.

Aim: Converging technologies and developing hybrid solutions by following the vision of desktop or micro factories for the production of polymer-based micro-mechanical components and systems.

Microsystems has recently concluded work in this collaborative research project.

Funded by the European Commission under the Framework 6 (FP6) programme, and comprising 27 organisations for 6 different countries.
Concluded in December 2009.
